A treat for the technology lovers

Today, the world has literally transformed into a global village. This global village has mainly due to the improved system of communications and the technological revolution that has gripped the whole world in its fist.
17th September was also one such occasion. It was a chance for the people who love technology to get know their favorite products. An expo had been arranged in order to let people gather, have a look at the products on offer and exchange information about them. I also was among the lucky people who got a chance to have the invitation for that even. I readily accepted that as it is my passion to be in touch with what is happening across the world of technology. So on the due date, reached the venue right around 3pm.

Beautifully arranged stalls were waiting for me. The glimpse of such awesome technology under one roof was a wonderful experience for me. Inorbit mall was full of Taiwan brands and companies that displayed their products with great efficiency. It must be mentioned here that the organization was the best thing about the event. It was a combined effort of TAITRA and Digit magazine and it was an exemplary arrangement. The Digit magazine really proved that they are a hugely popular technology magazine not only within the national boundaries but also across the global horizons
There were a lot of things that caught the attention of the attendees. Of all this, the presence of the bollywood mega star Malaika Arora khan was one of the most prominent features of the event. She was there as a brand ambassador and she was so frank with the audience that it gave a beautiful flavor to the overall atmosphere of the scenario.

At 6pm, 4 AC buses were waiting outside the mall to carry the audience to the next destination which Yogi Midtown Hotel. So, after getting the gifts of 40 silicon power pens, the 40 lucky winners and the rest of the people headed towards the hotel where Excellence brand exhibition was on display. The representatives of more than 26 Taiwan brands were there to endorse their products. This was an awesome display as most of the leading brands were on display like Acer, BenQ, D-Link and MSI. The question and answers session followed which was amazingly overwhelming as it was very detailed and comprehensive. All the attendees had a wealth of insight regarding the products on display. Not only this, but also, they had a liberty to ask anything about their favorite brands in terms of those products that were not even on display, this thing was really appreciated by the audience.

The overall atmosphere of the expo was amazing and it was a huge success in my opinion. These types of events should keep on happening on regular intervals

Macs Get More Like IPads

Macs get their apps, too.
few months ago, we wondered how iOS could make its way into OS X. Apple was clearly thinking the same thing, because the summer 2011 release of OS X Lion looks like it’s going to make Macs very iPad-like indeed.
First and foremost, an App Store will be hitting the Mac “within 90 days” according to today’s Apple keynote, with software updates and much of the same look and feel as what exists on the iPad. It looks as if the Mac App Store will focus on Mac-specific apps, but it can’t require too much of a leap to imagine universal apps that could run on iPhones, iPads, and Macs all at once.
A new Expose-influenced interface called Launchpad will organize those apps in the same multipage grid with folders.
Multitouch gestures will also be expanded, although no touch-screen Macs look to be in Apple’s future. We’ll come back and discuss more later

The Fog-Free Shower Mirror with LED Light and Clock

If you have the pleasure of either living alone or living with a female who doesn’t fill the shower up with about fifteen different types of shampoos and soaps, then you might have room for something like this. It makes it so you can keep your entire shaving kit conveniently in the shower and hung out of the way. Now of course this only works if you have enough space, but if you do it’d be nice way to simplify your daily routine. It also might help to get a little clutter off of the bathroom sink.

Which would be good for those guys that happen to have several different types of hair gels lying around. The mirror is fog-free, so no matter how hot you like your showers you’ll still be able to see in the mirror. The caddy has a spot for both your razor and your shaving cream. It attaches to the shower wall by suction cup. If your shower doesn’t have much lighting, you’ll especially love the twin LED lights built in to illuminate your face. Even better is that you c

Welcome to the New Age of the PSP2

Here is a new concept for the Playstation Portable I hope to see in the near future. This PSP2 design concept by Tai Chiem probably won’t be made anytime soon, but it really should.

I mean, just look at the scrolling OLED screen! I think we are close to perfecting that technology, but not that close. Still, it would be nifty to have a screen that can roll up into the PSP itself. No more tiny screen, but it needs some sort of electrical charge to hold it up. I guess it uses the same “memory cloth” technology as shown in Batman Begins.

Not only does it have the rolling and scrolling action going on, but the side speakers fold inwards, presumably to hold the screen into place when it is rolled up. Rumor has it the speakers are the controls for the device. This appears to the only method of control, as I don’t see a controller or buttons.

This technology is too good to use on just portable video game consoles. I think that every cellular phone needs to be this wand-shaped thing that you can use to take and receive calls, and then roll it out to watch videos or whatever applications you care to run.

Well, as I said before, the PSP2 probably won’t be available any time soon, so if you want a new style of PSP, you’ll have to get the PSP-3000.
